Pair RipDock with Hermes

Pairing trusts your Device for your Hermes Runtime. Use the Device fingerprint shown in the App to approve the correct Device in the Hermes dashboard.

Pairing Steps

  1. Open RipDock on iPhone or Android.
  2. Choose the option to connect a Runtime.
  3. Enter your public Hermes URL, such as https://hermes.example.com.
  4. Wait for RipDock to fetch the Hermes Runtime identity.
  5. RipDock will show an Approve This Device screen with a Device fingerprint.
  6. Open the Hermes dashboard in your browser.
  7. Open the RipDock plugin page.
  8. Find the pending Device with the same fingerprint shown in the App.
  9. Approve that Device.
  10. Return to the App. It should move into chat after Hermes approves the Device.

Fingerprint Must Match

Only approve a Device when the fingerprint in Hermes matches the fingerprint shown in the App. If it does not match, reject the request and start Pairing again.

After Pairing

RipDock should show your Hermes Agents and open chat. If no Agents appear, check the Hermes plugin configuration and refresh the App.

Canceling Pairing

If you tap Cancel while waiting for approval, RipDock removes that pending Connection from the App. You can start Pairing again with the same public Hermes URL.
